Winter months are dedicated to
painting. “In this day and age, the name of the game in the art field
is to create ‘something different’.” Barb East’s work is
different. From the first brush stroke no detail is passed by. Some of
her miniatures entail as many as 160 people, town buildings and a
complete parade painted on a cigarette paper! Her large works are done
in Egg Tempra with the same awareness to detail. Barbara is well known
throughout the Northwest, twice having won Best of Show at the Museum of
Native American Cultures show in Spokane, Washington, and twice winning
best of show at the C.M. Russell show at Great Falls, Montana.
